Cookie Policy

1. Summary

Kochi uses only the cookies and similar browser storage that are strictly necessary for the service to work. No advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party marketing cookies are used, so no cookie consent banner is shown.

When you pay on the website, the payment page is provided by the payment institution iyzico; iyzico may use its own cookies for security and session purposes, and these are subject to iyzico's cookie policy.

2. Cookies we use

• Session cookies (starting with sb-…, authentication): needed to keep you signed in; kept for the session or until you sign out.
• Language preference cookie (kk-locale): remembers the interface language you chose; kept for one year.
• Preview cookie (kk_preview): only for accounts authorised to preview plans, it holds a flag for 24 hours when a preview is turned on; it is not set for other users.

3. Browser storage

• kk-mochi-greeted (local storage): a flag so that Kochi's welcome greeting plays only on your first visit; it contains no personal data.
• kk-setup-… (local storage): keeps an unfinished interview setup form on this device, keyed by your account ID; it is not sent to the server and is removed when you start the interview.
• kk-cv-target-position (local storage): keeps the target position you typed in the “I don't have a CV” form on this device only; it is not sent to the server.
• kk-voice-trust-v1 (local storage): marks on this device that you have seen the voice interview information screen.
• kk-content-report (local storage): marks the AI content you reported on this device so you are not asked to report the same content again; it is not sent to the server.
• kk-update-soft-shown (local storage, mobile app only): marks that the version update reminder has been shown.
• In the mobile app, the purchase infrastructure (RevenueCat) may use local storage on the device to recognise your subscription status; this data is not used for advertising or tracking.
• kk-did (local storage; in the web browser or in the web view of the mobile app): holds the random anonymous device ID generated on your device at first launch; it is used to match events from before sign-in to your account after sign-up or sign-in, and is not a cookie. If you delete your account, its match on the server is deleted; you can always delete the value on your device by clearing browser or app data.
• kk-sid (session storage): holds the random session ID that tells your open session apart; it is removed when the tab or app session closes and is not a cookie.
• kk-utm (session storage, web only): keeps the campaign tags (utm_*) from the address for as long as that tab stays open; it is used at sign-up and in event records as a campaign tag, and is removed when the tab closes; it is not a cookie.

4. Managing cookies

Necessary cookies are required for the service to work. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you do, you may be unable to sign in and your language preference may not be remembered. When you delete your account, your session cookies are cleared too.
